We are so very proud of our Kindergarten graduate! Tarini started late in the year and had loads of catching up to do, but took to school so quickly. She really flourished - even in our fast paced school - as she learned English and how to function in a new environment.
We couldn't be more proud of all she's accomplished and are very excited for what her future holds.

We attended our home study agency's annual picnic for the third time this year. Anakin and Avy joined us and a fantastic time was had by all. The kids enjoyed pony rides, face painting, balloons, ice cream, playgrounds and a picnic lunch. This year was Tarini's first and she had a great time - her favorite thing was the bounce house.
One of the cool things about the setup is that they put flags in the ground from all of the countries represented by the kids. The owner of the agency kindly put the Russian and Indian flags next to each other so we didn't have to choose between the two. It was a lot of fun to get the annual picture of our munchkins with the flag of their birth country. Especially since Tarini is newly home.

We went ultra low key for Eric's 40th...for some reason he didn't want to even celebrate it ;) We all went to The Pub in Lexington and enjoyed some great food. I wish I would have taken a picture of the fish and chips...the fish was 12 inches long! The food is British/UK style and they have the most amazing appetizers.

After dinner we headed to my parent's house to enjoy Eric's favorite cake. It's a Cuban style cake-I don't even know what it's called. We discovered it at a little Cuban deli here in Lexington a few years ago and my mom re-created it perfectly. Nice job, BTW Mom! After cake we enjoyed the beautiful late spring evening in mom and dad's backyard.
