Every year we always make several trips to Fire Station #20 and enjoy the light show. A few years ago, the firefighters of the station decided that instead of buying each other gifts, they would use the money to purchase lights and equipment for a light show. It has grown over the years as they add more lights, songs and displays. We love it and wouldn't miss it, as does much of our community.
It was so amazing to see the wonderment in Benjamin and Tarini's eyes as they watched the show this past weekend. Tarini was especially excited as this was her first time and she absolutely loves Christmas lights.
The station has several of the songs in the show on their website.
...and the beastThe girls wanted to wear this outfit from India but I wasn't sure it would fit either of them. Eric brought it back from India in 2005 for Avy when she was 1 1/2. But, they both managed to get into it and had a blast posing.

Thank you for an incredible 15 years together and 12 years of marriage. I am so lucky that we found each other; the serendipity of it amazes me. You are a wonderful husband and father and my true north.
I truly am the luckiest. I love you.

Ben Folds ~ The Luckiest
I don't get many things right the first time
In fact, I am told that a lot
Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls
Brought me here
And where was I before the day
That I first saw your lovely face?
Now I see it everyday
And I know
That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest
What if I'd been born fifty years before you
In a house on a street where you lived?
Maybe I'd be outside as you passed on your bike
Would I know?
And in a wide sea of eyes
I see one pair that I recognize
And I know
That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest
I love you more than I have ever found a way to say to you
Next door there's an old man who lived to his nineties
And one day passed away in his sleep
And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days
And passed away
I'm sorry, I know that's a strange way to tell you that I know we belong
That I know
That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest
We had a lovely day at my sister's house; we enjoyed the company of friends and family and delicious food. It was especially meaningful to have our daughter home for this holiday.
