eager to open their gifts from Aunt Andrea, Uncle Mike, Emily and Nicole

Tarini was beyond thrilled when she saw the leotard and wore it the rest of the day

Benjamin has played with these building blocks every day we have been home. He is so creative and these blocks were the perfect next step because they are more advanced than traditional stacking blocks. He has created some amazing structures...must get pictures before he tears them down :)

Tarini also got Christmas earrings...she wore a pair everyday until well after Christmas. The red jingle bells were her favorite.

Thank you Aunt Andrea, Uncle Mike, Emily and Nicole!!!

inspecting the tree

The kids just loved the ornaments that Meme and Papaw sent to them.

The kids created quite the gingerbread house this year.

Benjamin and Tarini's present to Daddy...he loves to make popcorn and his popper was broken during the move. It was very sweet that they wanted to get it for him.

Tarini got an MP3/Karaoke player. She can use it like a traditional player or sing along through the mic with or without the vocals.

Benjamin got this amazing indoor basketball game and it has been a huge hit with not only him but the whole family.

Arrrrr!!!

bubbles, superheroes, games and pirates - what a boy loves!

Tarini is in love with the new Princess and the Frog movie and was so excited to get the doll along with the other princesses.

Tarini's Christmas Party

I volunteered to work the Christmas Party at Tarini's school and we had lots of fun. I was in charge of the cookie decorating station and it was "fun" to keep the kiddos from licking the knives and dipping them back into the icing. It was the longest school party I have ever been to - 2 hours - but it was nice to see so many activities rather than just eating...

Decorating her cookie...so intense.

The results!!!

creating and modeling her reindeer hat

Tarini's snowman creation is the pink one behind her head.

And...this is how you have to dress *everyday* to go outside and play. Tarini is still cold with this many layers and snow gear :) They go outside to play here unless it is below 0*.

Ring my Bell

Benjamin's school was fortunate to have a local musician come to class each week for 10 weeks. She worked with them on all of the different aspects of music and they also learned to play the bells.

Benjamin's 5th Birthday

Benjamin had 2 birthday celebrations this year...one in WI and one in KY as we were there for Thanksgiving. I'm pretty certain that he would have "tolerated" more though :)

He opened his guitar while waiting for the bus.

I think Tarini enjoyed the game more than Benjamin. He was quickly distracted by the archaelogical dig for dinosaurs.

Success!

We had cupcakes at home because the requested cake was being created by Grandma in KY.

our nuts!

cupcakes and grapes at school

snap...got ya!

"The" baseball cake created by Grandma was a huge hit with Benjamin. Here he is pretending to "hit" it out of the park.

Grammy (Great Grandma) was even there for the occasion.

Anakin reading one of Ben's cards to him. Avy being Avy :)

Before we moved to Wisconsin we tried to get in as much fun as we could with family. This particular day was full of memories and lots of fun was had by all.

I love this shot...my mom and dad have the best backyard.
